How does CBT help with addiction?
CBT helps you identify your triggers and practice different responses to them. That supports your recovery and helps you prepare for hard moments.
CBT is part of the clinical program at Wheatfield, in individual therapy and in the morning clinical group.
Common questions
I’m not a big talker. Will I need to talk in therapy?
Yes, it is talk therapy, but your therapist won’t force topics you aren’t ready for.
How long does CBT take?
Sessions usually run 45 to 60 minutes. How many you have depends on your treatment plan.
Will CBT stop my cravings?
No therapy can promise that. CBT gives you tools for managing cravings and triggers.
